Let me provide some information as to why you're unable to see the option to validate why this is happening, santiagom.

Before anything else, we'd like to know what QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) version you're utilizing. Because the step of QBDT Enterprise and QBDT Pro/Premier edition varies from each other.

You'll only see the Export Your Company File to QuickBooks Online function if you use the QuickBooks 2021 or later version. If you're using the Pro/Premier 2020 edition or older, you can use an online tool to move your data to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Another reason you do not see the option is that you're using QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. You can follow these processes to export your data.

  1. Sign in as an admin to the desktop company file you want to move.
  2. On your keyboard, press Ctrl 1 to open the Product Information window.
  3. Press Ctrl Q, then select OK to display the export window, then select Get Started.
  4. Sign in as an admin to your QuickBooks Online company.
  5. Click Choose an online company, then select the company you want to replace with your company file, then select Continue.
  6. If you track inventory in QuickBooks Desktop:
    • Select Yes to bring them over, then specify the as-of-date.
    • Note: Use the first day after your last tax filing period as your inventory start date.
    • Select No if you want to set up new items later in QuickBooks Online.
  7. Enter “Agree” in the text field, then select Replace.
  8. Select Yes, go ahead and replace the data, then select Replace.

For more detailed steps and information, you can check this article if you're using QuickBooks Desktop for Mac and want to move data to QBO: Move Your QuickBooks Desktop File to QuickBooks Online.
