Unable to allow a user to see credit card information.

I have followed the process listed below:

To check permissions of your users, go to the Company menu, select Set up Users and Passwords, and click Set Up Users. If you want this user to be able to see your customer's credit card info, on the Sales and Accounts Receivable section, make sure "View complete customer credit card numbers" is selected.

I selected the option that stated view complete customer credit card number, however, the user is still not able to see full credit card numbers in Quickbooks. What is the next step that I need to do in order allow my employee to see this information?

Glad you're here in the Community, @MortuaryLift.

Thanks for sharing the steps you've done to get this working. I'm here to help sort this out.

I checked with our support team to see if there's an ongoing issue about this, but there isn't currently one. I also tried on my end, and I was able to see the full credit card numbers in QuickBooks using another user access.

To isolate this, if you're the company Admin, try to create another user (dummy user) with the same role. Then, log into your company file using that user access and check if you can see your customer's full credit card number. Here's how:

1. Go back to Customers menu at the top.
2. On the drop-down, select Set Up Users and Passwords, then Set Up Users.
3. Click Add Users, then enter User Name and Password of your choice. Make sure to take note of this information.
4. Select Next, then on the Sales and Accounts Receivable, choose Full Access.
5. Mark the View complete customer credit card numbers.
6. Once done, click Finish.

After that, log off to your company file and back in using the user access that you just created. Go to Customer Center and check if you can see your customer's full credit card number. This can be done by clicking Customers menu at the top then Customer Center.

If you're able to see the full credit card number using the new user access, the existing access of your employee might be corrupted. In this case, you'll need to delete and recreate the employee's role. For your reference, you can check out this article for further guidance: QuickBooks Desktop Users and Restrictions.

That's it! Please let me know how it goes by leaving a comment below. I'm always here to help you out. You take care and have a great day.
