Hello there, @mobile-hose-hydr

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I'm here to help you get back to business.

Since you're having issues sending emails through QuickBooks Desktop, let's go ahead and do some troubleshooting steps to ensure you're able to send those emails.

First, use the 2-step verification for Google. Here's how:

  1. Turn on 2-step verification for your Google account
  2. Select the QuickBooks Edit menu and choose Preferences
  3. Go to Send Form
  4. Click Web Mail and Add
  5. Key in the Add Email Info, then pick OK
  6. Choose OK to save your changes.

If the issue is persisting after you've completed the steps above, you can also turn on less secure app access in Google. For more detailed instructions, you can refer to this article: Gmail couldn't sign you in from QuickBooks Desktop

Feel free to comment below if you have any more questions or concerns. I'm always here to lend a hand and help. Have a good rest of your day!

Unfortunately nothing has worked. My email address (Gmail) and passwords are correct, my Intuit account subscription was just purchased 4 months ago so that is correct but I cannot get the two to connect in any way.

Thanks for following up with us, @mobil-hose-hydr.

I appreciate that you've taken the time to try the steps provided by my colleague above.

To clarify, when you're being prompted to enter your password, which password are you using? You'll need to ensure you're using your email password. Are you using a hosting service, such as Right Networks? Additionally, could you provide a screenshot of the error message you're receiving?

If you're using Right Networks or any other hosting service, you'll need to contact them to complete a Multi-Factor Authentication request.

However, if you're not using a hosting service and you've already turned off your 2-Step Verification feature for your Gmail account, let's try a couple of more steps here.

First, let's update your QuickBooks to the latest release. Once you've did this, let's check your antivirus settings for port exceptions. Your antivirus software may be blocking the connection between your email and QuickBooks. Depending on which antivirus software you're using, you'll need to search on their website for steps to allow port exceptions.

The port exception for Gmail is:

  • Port 587

Check out Fix webmail password issues in QuickBooks Desktop for more details.

If you have tried these steps and still have issues, I recommend contacting our technical support team. They have the tools available to securely remote into your computer. This way, they can investigate the issue further. I've included the steps to contact support below.

1. Open QuickBooks.

2. From the Help menu, choose QuickBooks Desktop Help

3. Type Contact Us in the search box. Then, click on Contact Us at the bottom.

4. Select the way you wish to connect with support (Chat, Call back, Etc.).

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for your response. Feel free to let me know if you have further questions or concerns. You can reach out to the Community any time. Take care!
