I recently updated our service and our bank account was charged but it still says it needs activated. When I log on it says it is active but the warning is still showing up in Quickbooks.

I'd like to know more about this. Is this for your QuickBooks or Payroll subscription?


We'll have to check your account on our system since you've been charged already. If this is for your QuickBooks subscription, you'll have to reach out to our customer service. Here's how contact them:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Press F1 on the keyboard.
  3. In the Have a Question? window, click Contact us.

If this is a payroll alert, let's re-validate your service key to sync your data with our system. Here's how:

  1. Click Employees.
  2. Go to My Payroll Service, then choose Manage Service Key.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Click Next, then Next again.
  5. Remove the check mark in the Open Payroll Setup – I want to start right box.
  6. click Finish.

After trying the steps, if you're still getting the same warning, please contact our payroll support to have this checked further. Here's how:

  1. Open this link:
  2. Choose QuickBooks Deskop, then choose the version.
  3. Click Running Your Business in QuickBooks, then choose Basic, Standard, Enhanced Payroll.
  4. Click Start a Message
