What user permissions do I need for an employee to be able to attach a file.

I can help you with setting the user permission of the employee to attach a file, @Kcrbean.

 

You can attach documents to transactions, accounts, customer names, vendor names, employee names, other names, and inventory items in QuickBooks Desktop. You'll just make sure to give full access to the employee to which part he's going to attach the file. 

 

To set the user restriction, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Company menu, choose Set Up Users and Password and then Set up Users.
  2. Select Add User and fill out the User NamePassword, and Confirm Password fields, then select Next.
  3. On the window that appears choose which area of QuickBooks the user has access to, then select Next.
  4. Select Finish once you're done.
