Welcome to the Community, lukep.

Congratulations on your new account with QuickBooks Online. Let me provide you with some information about configuring Microsoft Azure and having multiple companies under one login.

There's a community dedicated to developers and configuring of applications with QuickBooks. This site contains resources for software development, as well as the ability to ask fellow developers questions. You can find additional information about this at the following link: Intuit Developer.

And to answer your question, yes, you can have multiple company subscriptions in Quickbooks Online and have as many QuickBooks Online companies with the same login. Each QuickBooks Online company you create requires an additional subscription.

If you would like to create a new company, go to our list of products at http://quickbooksonline.intuit.com/finance-accounting-solutions and select which version you wish to start. When you are at the startup interview, click Already has an Intuit user ID and sign in with the same credentials you have for your current company. If you want to have two separate sets of credentials, enter a new user ID.

If you'd like to go through this over the phone, you can call our dedicated team who will be happy to assist you. Our contact details can be found here along with our opening hours:

  1. Go to: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
  2. Choose your QuickBooks Product.
  3. Select your QuickBooks version.
  4. On the Contact Us page, click a topic.
  5. Click on the Get Phone Number button to see the support number.

It’s nice to work with you. Feel free to leave a Reply below if you need further assistance about setting up multiple companies in QuickBooks Online.

Thank you for the info on the multiple company setup.  Going back to Azure, I don't think this is a matter for the developer community.  It looks like QB supports authenticating via google ID and I'm asking if QB online supports authenticating using Azure AD.

Thanks for getting back to me, lukep.

I want to make sure you'll be able to configure Azure AD with QuickBooks Online. Let me direct you to the right direction.

For help with signing in to QuickBooks Online using Azure AD, I suggest getting in touch with Azure AD's developer and API's support team through this link: https://help.developer.intuit.com/s/.

In there, you can interact with fellow developers, product experts, and engineers regarding your concern.

You can always get in touch with our QuickBooks Online Support if you need help in the future. Our contact details can be found here along with our opening hours:

I don't want to put words into lukep's mouth, but the question is not asking about developing an app.

The question is about logging into a QuickBooks Online account with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) credentials. This would be a SAML based single sign-on (SSO) into QBO.

You currently support this for Google SSO, the question is do you support it for Azure AD SSO?

This is the question we have as well, as many of our clients are using Azure AD and we are implementing Azure AD SSO into their SaaS based applications. If we can't do this with QBO we will start looking at other alternatives that will support this.

What about if you use the Firefox browser?

I don’t understand your question. The browser you use has no impact on QBO allowing SSO with Azure AD.

Thanks for getting back to us, Chronos74.

Allow me to join the conversation and provide some insights about the log in process in QBO.

Currently, logging in to QBO using your Azure Active Directory credentials is not an option. We're continuously working towards providing better features to ensure our customers can manage their business efficiently.

On your behalf, I’ll send a product suggestion straight to our Product Development Team so they’ll know this feature important for your business and consider adding it.

They love to hear our customers’ voice as well, so I suggest submitting this idea to our developers. Simply select the Gear in the top right hand corner and click Feedback.

You can also check the latest news and updates about QuickBooks through this link: The QuickBooks Blog.

That should point you in the right direction.

You mention Google, so I assume that means Google Chrome. That's why I asked about Firefox; it's not Google

I find it very funny that you are having trouble getting this answer as well. I also reached out and was continuously being pointed back to the Dev team no matter how many different times/ways I asked the question, so this thread really made me laugh.

At the end of the day - there is already an integration available, we just need to figure out how to use it! I really hope someone out there can speak for them selves without using a canned response translation dictionary...

This can be done I have done it for our organization. We recently moved everything, servers, Desktops, etc to Azure. Security and Federation is paramount to us so we are federated  to google with AzureAD. So when a user logs into any google product the are redirected to AzureAD for authentication. We use this to login QuickBooks online but sometimes it still requires a local QuickBooks password every so many days.

It has been a year, and thus far, i didn't  receive an answer from QB .  Any other vendor it the SAAS business offers SSO with multiple identity providers out of the gate.   QB decided to only focus on Google. I am not interested in workarounds but in a pure integration.  After a year of waiting, it seems like this didn't make it to the features list.

This is one of the most ridiculous threads I've read... we have an Intuit employee who doesn't know what Azure AD is and then we have a random person asking about Firefox.

Is Azure AD supported yet? A simple "yes" or "no" will suffice.

It seems like the answer is no, which is outrageous tbh.

We have a similar scenario where we need to track all logins thru Azure AD. However the only QuickBooks integration offered in the Azure Marketplace is a QuickBooks icon that will just take people to the QBO page (useless). What I did was setup federation and SSO with Google. I found by paying for one GSuite licenses all my users can sign into google thru federated SSO access.

Therefore when you users hit the QBO Sign-In page they can click Sign-In with Google and use there Azure AD/O365 enterprise ID for authentication. I spent tons of time researching a solution to this issue. We were about to move to Dynamics 365 Finance which would of been a bigger mess but this solved the problem and everyone is happy.

NOTE: This does not work with QuickBooks Desktop, this is why we switch to QB Online mainly for compliance that all corporate apps from any vendor Apple, Google, Adobe, Etc. are all logged in using Azure AD as the identity provider.
