We are using QB online essentials. How to change the master admin to another person?

Hi ivy4. You came to the right place. Transferring your Master Admin rights is a simple process, so here are some quick instructions on how to do so:

  1. First, click the Gear Icon and select Manage Users. If you don’t see this option, ensure you are signed in as the Master Admin and then attempt again. 
  2. In the User Type column, check if the user you want is listed as an Admin. If they’re not, select Edit to change them to an Admin 
  3. Select the small arrow ▼ in the Action column to the right of the user. Then, select Make master admin.
  4.  When you receive the verification code to your email, enter it and select Continue.
  5. In the window, select Make master admin to confirm that you want to make the change.
  6. Click the Gear Icon and select Sign Out to sign out as the current master admin.
  7. Now, the new admin will receive an email invitation to accept their new role. 

After they accept the email invitation the master admin rights will be transferred completely. If you want some more information here are some articles that will be a huge help:
