What do I have to do to connect my Bank of America account? I reloads when I hit connect and when I hit the link and sign in, nothing happens.

Welcome to QuickBooks Community, @notaryservicesqu.

Have you encountered a specific error message when attempting to connect Bank of America to QuickBooks? That information can help me find you a timely solution.

In the meantime, let's connect your bank to QuickBooks using a private browser. Private mode prevents storing cache and cookies that might cause problems when running websites.

Here are the shortcut keys you can use:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

Once signed in, connect your bank again. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
  2. Select the Banking tab.
  3. Click Connect Account on the landing page if this is your first time connecting. Select Add account or Link account if you've already created one.
  4. Search for your bank. connectbank2.JPG
  5. Hit Continue. Enter the username and password you use for your bank's website in the window.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to connect.

For more details, please see this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

If this works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache. This will remove the stored cache or cookies to refresh your browser. If the same thing happens, use another supported browser. It could be that the one you're currently using has a temporary issue with QuickBooks.

You may also add transactions manually from a CSV file to QBO. To do so, please follow the steps in this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Then, to review each downloaded transactions, you have to categorize and match them into QBO.

Feel free to leave a reply below if you have further concerns about connecting your bank with QBO. I'll be around whenever you need further assistance. Take care always.
