What is the best subscription with Quickbooks if I need help setting up Quickbooks for a new online account

It depends on your business needs and preference, @arthur430.


If you want to run basic reports or simple income and expense tracking, then the Simple Start version (can accommodate 1 user only) can be a good choice. Though, it's limited for one user only.


On the other hand, since you have a growing company, the Plus (for up to 5 users) and Advanced (can accommodate up to 25 users) versions are a good fit. Also, based on your scenario, it looks like you have an existing QBO account. If this is the case, you can just add a new one (a separate paid subscription). I can share some easy steps to help ensure you can achieve this. Let me guide you how:


  1. Go to the QuickBooks pricing page and then choose the subscription you want.
  2. Click the Select button, and tap Continue without payroll (if you don't want to have one), and then hit Check out.

  3. Then, you’ll see one of two sign-in pages. First, if you recently signed in to QuickBooks, you’ll see a page asking you to confirm the account you want to sign in under. If it’s the account you want to manage the new company with, click “Yes, that’s correct.”
  4. Second, if you haven’t signed in recently, you’ll see a page that asks you to create an Intuit account to buy QuickBooks. Scroll all the way to the bottom and look for the small text that says “Adding a company to an existing account?” Tap Sign in next to this and then enter the same ID and password you already use for QuickBooks. 

  5. Fill out all the needed details about your new company and you’re all set.

Once successful, you’ll be asked which company you want to open whenever you log in to QBO. Thus, I recommend using the same login info. This way, you can quickly switch between companies and manage everything more efficiently.
