first decision is whether or not you need, need 24 hour access from any internet computer.

second decision is whether or not you have inventory, and do you make things out of inventory in stock which you then sell (assembly items)

QB desktop is far more functional than QB online, and if you need 24hr access then consider QB hosting, the cost with hosting is about the same.

@drhowell12

If you are not familiar with accounting software, consider QBO.

Otherwise, pick QB Desktop instead. Deploy a private cloud to access your company file by internet connection if required.

Thank you for the response. Is it possible to have QB installed on multiple macbooks, but still use the same backend file that is stored in the cloud?

Good suggestion. Can I have QB on multiple MacBooks all accessing the same company file stored in the cloud somewhere?

If you prefer using QB Desktop Windows on your Mac, you may have 2 options:

1. Prepare a Windows machine at your premise and deploy a private cloud. All of Mac users may able to access the company file(s) by internet connection.

2. Put your license and company file(s) on an authorized QB cloud hosting.
