When I run the "Invoice List" report, the "memo/description" field is selected but when I run the report, nothing shows up in the field. Do you know how to fix this?

When I run the "Invoice List" report, the "memo/description" field is selected but when I run the report, nothing shows up in the field. Do you know how to fix this?

I'm here to help you fix this, @allison-atkins.

 

To show the memo/description in the report, let's ensure to enter the information in the Message on statement field of the invoice. Let me show you how: 

  1. From the left panel, choose the Sales menu.
  2. Select the Invoices tab.
  3. Look for the invoice and under the Action column, choose View/Edit
  4. In the Message on Statement field, enter the description.

  5. Once done, click Save.

Then, run the Invoice List report to check if the information appears in the memo/description column.

Thank you. However, I would like the "Description" line of the invoice to show up on the report. Is there a way to include that on the "Invoice List" report. It doesn't look like that is a field option when customizing the report. I guess the "memo/description" field refers to the memo line.

Thanks for clarifying. I can certainly appreciate how the description in the invoice list would be beneficial. Right now, it’s not a field that can be added to the report. If you would like, you can provide feedback to our product team and suggest a feature addition. To do that:

  1. Go to Settings (gear icon).
  2. Under Profile.
  3. Choose Feedback.
