When I sign on to my account, the initial account set up page automatically pops up and won't go away.

Re: When I sign on to my account, the initial account set up page automatically pops up and won't...

Greetings, @leslie16!

There are two scenarios you can consider why the initial set up shows when logging in to your account. I'll be happy to share them and help you from there.

First off, if you recently signed up for a subscription, an initial set up shows asking you some specific preferences for your business. This helps QuickBooks arrange your accounts specifically for your business and how you can work with them.

Meanwhile, if the initial set up is for your business location, it'll help QuickBooks to recognize your billing information for your subscription.

Thus said, you'll have to completely enter all information needed for your account's initial set up. This way, it'll be removed and will not show up every time you log back into your account.

In addition, you can always visit our Help Articles page for QuickBooks Online if in case you need to learn some "How do I" steps for any of your future tasks.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know in the comment section down below. I'll be always around ready to help.

Thank you for responding so quickly. I had filled out that page when I set up my account, and I’ve already started doing transactions yet it still comes up. My account will come up for a split second and then suddenly the “tell us about your business “ page pops up and won’t go away. If I enter any information in those fields it sets up another company.

Thank you for your response, @leslie16!

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps before accessing your account so you can completely get rid of the initial set up page.

First off, let's clear your browser's cache to optimize your browser's performance. Your browser's cache can be considered as one of the reasons why you're always asked to enter your business information. But please know that it'll also remove your browsing history and saved login credentials.

Once done, you'll have to close and re-open your browser application. From there, let's reset your password to help us determine if the initial set up of your account is connected with your login credentials. You can click the I forgot my user ID or Password hyperlink to reset your password.

However, if you still seeing the initial set up page, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Support. They have the tools needed to pull up and look into your account and determine your login credentials.

Lastly, you can also read these articles which can be your guide for any future tasks: Help Articles for QuickBooks Online.

It'll be always my pleasure to help if you have any other questions. I'll be keeping an eye for your response.
