I can help you with connecting to your account, @davehazlett98-gm.

That error can be caused by the piled-up cache in your regular browser. There are times that the browser you're using has information stored that's stopping or causing this error.

I've got some steps to help fix this issue. First, you'll have to sign in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account using a private browser. This helps isolate the issue since it doesn’t store data in the cache. Here are the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge:  CTRL + Shift + P

If it works, here's how to clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks. Restart your browser right after.

You can also try to log in to your your account using other supported browsers (Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge) if the steps above didn’t work.

Stay in touch if you need further assistance in connecting to your account. I’m always glad to help in any way I can. Take care and have a great rest of the day

I tried using different browsers, safari, google and edge, I also cleared my cash and tried a private browser, same problem, keeps spinning and spinning. I can log in with my iPhone just fine but need to use the import feature to upload some .csv files

Thanks for posting some updates about the problem you're getting, @davehazlett98-gm,

There are a couple of things that affects the QuickBooks performance. Consider the following:

  • Internet connection status.
  • Too much data in the cache, slowing down the web page performance.
  • Product outage or system is down.
  • Computer or browser did not meet the system requirements for QBSE.

QuickBooks Self-Employed currently is working fine and there aren't any reports sent to our developers. Visit this link to be updated if there are any outages in the program: https://status.quickbooks.intuit.com/

Since you already tried all the recommended troubleshooting steps to resolve performance issues in QBO, I highly recommend contacting our Support Team. This way this concern is reported to our engineers for a fix.

To contact our agents, follow the steps below in your QBSE account:

  1. Go to the ? Help menu and choose Contact us button.
  2. In the Ask a question (or tell us what's wrong), describe the problem you're having.
  3. Hit Continue then choose your contact options in the Choose a way to connect with us section.

You can also get our contact details here: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.

Let me know how it goes. I'll be right here if you need anything else. Just comment down below to connect with me again. Have a nice day!
