I have an idea why you're getting a confirmation email. Someone must have requested to update your account email to Intuit. Let's check your audit log report to see who made changes to your account and what they did.
Here's how to get there:
Go to the Gear icon at the top.
Select Audit log under Tools.
In the report, tick the Filter drop-down. Then, change the User drop-down to All Users, Show all events under Event, and Date to All dates.
