Where can I find the Unbilled Charges report in QB Plus online in order to inactivate an account?

Hello there, terry14.

Being able to edit the status of the transactions on the report would be a great time-saver. While this option is currently not available, I'm going to let our developers know that this is something you'd want.

Other users have also requested this kind of option and it might get a chance of being added in an update soon. Most of the enhancements we roll out are usually based on the suggestions we receive from our customers.

Just keep an eye out for new updates and I'll do the same here. Thanks for your time and have a good day.

You can pull up the Uninvoiced charges report in QuickBooks Online Plus.

Here's how:

Where can I find the Unbilled Charges report in QB Plus online in order to inactivate an account?

Has there been any update to this thread? I recently converted from Desktop to Online and discovered $1.874 million in Unbilled activity!  None of which is relevant to our non-profit!  Any help in this is appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the thread, @Reluctant1.

I appreciate your input from every angle.

I can see how this feature would be beneficial to you and other businesses. Right now, the option the bulk option to edit unbilled charges is still unavailable. For the meantime, as a workaround, you'll need to change the invoice one at a time using the steps provided by my colleague @ RoseMarjorieA.

Rest assured, I'll forward this idea on to our Product Development Team for further review.

Also, I encourage you to star our blog to keep up with any product updates or improvements on the online version: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/blog/whats-new/.

Additionally, I want you to get the most out of QuickBooks for your business. You can check some articles that are designed to help you get acclimated with the software. They can be accessed at the following link: QuickBooks Tutorials.

As always, you can get back to me if you have any additional questions. I'm here for you. Have a great day!

Thanks for checking on this, jbush.

As of this writing, the option to edit unbilled charges is still unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

As we continue to make great improvements with the product, please know that all the comments and request for this feature are being sent to our developers for review.

While we can't provide a specific time frame for the implementation, I encourage you to visit our QuickBooks Blog. To stay updated with the latest QuickBooks news and updates.

The Community is always open if you have other questions. I'll be around to help. Wishing you a great day ahead!

Have you tried this link from QuickBooks online to remove unbilled charges in bulk?  The trick, however, is that ALL items, Customers, and accounts need to active - not deleted or inactive - or this will not work completely.  I successfully removed about $1M worth of unbilled activity using this link. It was a pleasant surprise. But, I am unable to remove the remaining $87k without individually opening and deleting each one. A ROYAL pain and it creates other consequences to reconciled accounts that I don't have time to rabbit trail their fix.

Blessings on your journey.

Where can I find the Unbilled Charges report in QB Plus online in order to inactivate an account?

Happy to finally find this thread.

I've been attempting to use this same bulk utility link as well, and I get an error message telling me "the account I'm trying to use has been deleted".

Is it possible that a related G/L account has been deactivated? To my knowledge, my predecessor never DELETED any account, only deactivated them.

I'll help you fix this concern, @ljcashion.

Yes, your presumption is correct. It could be that the account was deactivated or make inactive. Since QuickBooks treat inactive accounts as deleted, this can be the reason why you're getting this kind of error.

However, we can still make them active again by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click the small Gear icon above the Action column and click Include inactive.
  3. Click Make active next to the inactive account.

I recommend the following article for additional insight into this process, such as what happens when an account is made inactive: How to Delete an Account or Restore a Deleted Account.

As always, I'm just a quick post away if you should need anything. I hope you have a good weekend.
