I hope you’re doing great, @dprichard-tfinco. I'm here to show you where the overdue transactions are.

For the overdue payables, it will only show in the Expenses menu. And Sales menu if the transactions are for overdue receivables.

To locate these transactions easily, you can use the Filter tool and set the Status to Overdue. I've included some screenshots for additional reference:

In case you need to track the details closely on each transaction, you can check out this reference: Track your cash flow in QuickBooks Online. This article also contains extensive modifications you can do to make it more informative for business forecast.

I'll be here if you need further assistance with the cash flow or if you have other QuickBooks-related questions. Just let me know in the comment section and I'm here to help. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Thanks, nothing shows up for me under sales or expenses when I filter for "overdue". I think that is because I am asking about the cashflow planner. I want to know where my planned events go once the date passes, they keep disappearing.

Hello there, dprichard-tfinco.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I'll be happy to assist you on how to view the Cash flow planner in QuickBooks Online.

To set up your planner, connect your bank and credit card accounts so QuickBooks can predict your cash flow. You can see which accounts are connected in the Linked Accounts section of the Cash Flow menu.

  1. Go to the Cash Flow menu, and select Planner.
  2. Select Add event.
  3. Select Money in if the event is income, or Money out if it's an expense.
  4. Give the event a name and enter an amount. Then select Continue.
  5. Select the date when the event will occur.
  6. If it’s a recurring event, select the toggle switch to Repeating.
  7. Select how often the event repeats. Then, enter any details such as day of the week and end dates.
  8. When you're done, select Save.

If you're able to see the option, you can switch back to the main browser and clear the cache. You can also use other supported browsers to access QBO to get rid of these kinds of issues.

I don't think you read my message. I'm not having any issues adding cash flow events.

The problem is that if I add a cashflow event for say 4/28 and then that planned event doesn't happen. When I log in on 4/29 that cashflow event is gone. It shouldn't disappear from my cash flow until I tell it to, since if the event hasn't happened yet....it still needs to be in my cash flow planning. If I can find the event from 4/28 somewhere, this would be easy, because I could just move the date forward. Right now though, I can't find them and they seem to just disappear. Please advise where to find.

Hello dprichard-tfinco,

A cache full of history and files can cause unexpected behaviors, such as being unable to see planned cash flow events.  Let's log in to your QBO account using a private browser (incognito) to confirm if it's a cache-related issue.

To use a private browser, here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

Try entering a plan again if you're able to see it. If you're able to do so, you can switch back to the main browser to clear the cache. This way, the system can refresh and start on a clean slate.

You can check out this link for more information about using the Cash Flow planner to predict future income and expenses

Keep me posted on how this works. I'll be glad to help you sort things out. Take care!

Did you ever find the answer? I am experiencing the same issue but it seems like you didn't get any responses that resolved the issue.
