Why cant i run reports?

Hi there, @art2.

Welcome to the Community space. I am the right person to help and share some insights about running report in QuickBooks Online.

What user type and access are you using to log into QuickBooks? You must have the All Access Rights to have permission to run and customize the reports.

For in-depth information, please refer to this link: Understanding user types and permissions.

If you're able to verify and still unable to run the report, you can try logging out and logging back into your QBO account. If you get the same result, we can try some more steps to check whether this has something to do with your browser.

You can use an incognito browser or a new private window. The web browser keeps files in its cache and saves the pages you have previously visited, and sometimes the stored files can affect communication between the browser and QuickBooks Online. You can follow the shortcut key command below to start private browsing.

  • For Chrome, press Ctrl+Shift+N.
  • For Internet Explorer or Firefox, press Ctrl+Shift+P.
  • For Safari, hold down Command+Shift+N.

Once you're able to run the report through the private browser, you can then clear your current browser's cache to start fresh.

That should help you run the reports, art2.

I'm still here to help you more if you have other questions. Just leave me a comment below. Have a wonderful day!
