Why is QB disconnecting from my accounts at PNC Banck at every logoff? I have to reconnect every time I log into QB.

It's great to see you back out in the Community. Helping out with the PNC bank connection is my specialty. I've got you covered. 

 

Let's try a few basic troubleshooting steps to help resolve this connection issue. Using a private browser or incognito window will allow QuickBooks to load as a fresh new page to eliminate any hidden errors or glitches in the system.

 

Here's how: 

 

  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl Shift P
  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Safari: Command Shift N

 

Afterward, clear your browser's history if the problem is fixed. This should do the trick when trying to secure the connection to your PNC bank. If this doesn't help, I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They can use a screen share to get this taken care of as quickly as possible. 

 

In the meantime, you can manually upload your bank's transactions until your bank is reconnected successfully.

Hi Candice. I followed your steps, used the private browser, emptied the cache and reconnected the PNC accounts.  Nevertheless, today after opening QB with the iPhone app, the pnc accts wouldnt update any longer. What should I try next?

At this time, I recommend getting in touch with our Phone Support team. Our agents there have extra tools that can do a screen-share with you and verify why PNC accounts were updated.

 

Here's how you can contact them:

 

  1. From the ? Help button, click Contact Us.
  2. Enter, The PNC bank accounts were not updated.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. You can choose a way to contact our support.

 

In the meantime, you can manually upload the transactions.
