Are you using QuickBooks Online (QBO) Simple Start? If yes, I'd like to inform you that it is the most basic bookkeeping software that we offer and it's perfect for small businesses.
However, we can only run financial statements, connect bank and credit card accounts, invoice customers and manage sales tax. With that being said, entering a bill in QBO Simple Start is unavailable, that's why you're being routed to upgrade your plan when you try to do so.
To enter a bill, I'd recommend upgrading to QBO Essentials or Plus.
Here's how:
- Sign in to QBO online as a primary or company admin.
- Click on the Gear ⚙ icon and select Account and settings.
- Go to Billing & subscription and make sure your billing info is updated.
- In the QuickBooks Online section, select Upgrade your plan.
- Check and review the available plans and when decided select Choose plan.
- Follow the on-screen steps to upgrade your plan.
