2015 Premier unable to import QBO bank feed

I have been using 2015 Premier for a few years, all import from the two banks I have been using works fine, until today when I tried to do the import.

It pops up the message WebConnect Branding "Unable to verify Financial Institution information for this download. Please try again later"

I have searched around to see the fix, the two banks' feed have FID, 13086 and 10898

Please help, I am trying to get 2018 tax done as soon as possible.

2015 Premier unable to import QBO bank feed

Hi, chrisnew94.

I want to make sure this gets taken care of for you. I just need more details about the issue. Can I have the name of the bank you’re working so I can check if there’s an ongoing investigation about this.

For now, you can try to import the file through the workaround below:

  1. Visit the bank’s website and download the Web Connect file then save it in your Desktop.
  2. Open the file in Excel and change the FID and BID to FID 13159and BID 13159.
  3. Save and Close the file then import the webConnect file through File>Utilities>Import>Web Connect File or Banking>bank Feeds Import web Connect file.

We’re looking forward to your response.

2015 Premier unable to import QBO bank feed

There are a few possible reasons why you encounter this error message, chrisnew94.

Among these are:

  • You're trying to import a .qbo file into an older version of QuickBooks that no longer supports the online banking service.
  • You're not on a supported version of QuickBooks Desktop.
  • The .qbo file provided by your financial institution contains an invalid information or formatting.

When importing web connect files, you'll need to use a supported version of QuickBooks and Internet Explorer to prevent any issue. Then, create a back up the QuickBooks company file prior to any import.

Since you've already tried to download the transactions from your bank website, let's try duplicating the issue in a new test file. Just follow the steps and details in Solution 2: Duplicate the issue in a new test file section in this article: Troubleshoot Bank Feeds Web Connect import issues and errors.

If the import fails, please proceed to Solution 3.

The steps I shared may or may not work since the version you have doesn't have the latest updates. You might consider upgrading the software to the latest version by visiting our website.

You can also download the QuickBooks Desktop trial version to import your bank feeds. Just check out this article for more details: QuickBooks Desktop trial links.
