Ally bank linked account only shows trans for past 48 hours. I checked the box asking for trans to be imported from 1/1/24. Other accounts work fine.

I recently signed up for QB. Other linked accounts working well. I need to see Ally transaction history. Tips please.

Hi there, workwith.

Currently, we have an ongoing investigation about customers being unable to download older transactions for Ally Bank accounts. Our engineers are currently working on this to sort it out as quickly as possible. Since they are working on this internally, please know that we cannot provide a turnaround time regarding their efforts.

Moreover, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team to ensure you'll get an update about the resolution status. This way, they can add your company file to the list of affected users and provide this investigation number for easy tracking: INV-113008. To reach them, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Click the Help button.
  3. In the QuickBooks Assistance chat box, select Talk to a Human or tap the Contact Us button at the bottom.
  4. Then, type in your reason for contacting us in the What can we help you with? Box and click Continue.
  5. From there, choose a way to connect: Start a conversation, Get a callback, or call our support line directly by getting our phone number.

Additionally, refer to this article for other options when contacting them. You can also scroll down to the bottom to take note of their support schedule and hours: Get help with QuickBooks products and services.

For the time being, we can manually upload your transactions via a CSV file to get them into your bank feeds instantly:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu and select Bank Transactions.
  2. Tap your bank’s tile where you want to upload the file.
  3. Tap the Link account dropdown and select Upload from file.
  4. Hit the Drag and drop or select files and then select the file you downloaded from our bank. Then, click Continue.
  5. Follow the onscreen procedures to match the columns on the file with the correct fields. Then, select Continue.
  6. Select the transaction you’d like to import and select Continue. After that, select Yes.
  7. Lastly, click Done.

However, please know that once the investigation is resolved, your transactions will start to download which may cause duplicates. In that case, you can exclude them from your bank feeds.

Once done, you can consider categorizing and reconciling them afterward to keep your records accurate and immediately spot any possible discrepancies in the account.

We appreciate your patience while we’re working on the connection with your bank. Please know that the Community always has your back if you have additional questions about QuickBooks. I'll be right here to help.
