Amazon Business App transactions not matching to bank transactions. I review the them in the Amazon App but why are they not updated to "match" in the bank transactions?

My understanding is that the transaction should be categorized and reviewed in the Amazon App. Once that is done, the same transaction should show up in the associated credit card as "match". It is not doing this for me.

Yes, you understand it correctly, furballfarmpetsanctuary. The categorized transactions from the Amazon Business App should automatically show as Match in the Bank transactions.

 

The default Match function in the Bank transactions is triggered if either/all the conditions are met:

 

  • Transaction date
  • Amounts of the transactions
  • Transaction polarity (income or expense)

 

Let's review how the account was set up in the Chart of Accounts. Let's take credit card as an example. Make sure the ACCOUNT TYPE and DETAIL TYPE are showing as Credit Card. This will affect how the transactions are downloaded in the Bank transactions.

If that is correct, it is possible that we just have to refresh the page to see the updated data in QuickBooks Online after you have categorized transactions in the App transactions tab. We can consider clearing cache. New cache can speed up browsing, and remove excessive buildup that causes unexpected behaviors. Then, you can also review if you're already using the supported versions of browsers
