Anybody else out there who is starting to hate Quickbooks

Please note that your privacy is one of our top priorities in QuickBooks Desktop. 

 

QuickBooks support will only call you if you have a requested callback and our phone support team doesn't have a direct phone number. Also, outbound calls from a QuickBooks representative should not ask for any personal information. You can only connect with them by going to the Help icon and choosing the Contact us button. And if you have issues in QBDT account, you'll receive a notification via email or a message when you signed in to your account. 

 

Before opening a link in an email, make sure that it’s a trusted site like https://quickbooks.intuit.com/. If it seems suspicious, search the site in your browser and don’t select any links in a suspicious email. Then, please forward it immediately to the Intuit Online Security Center

I mean its accounting software.... what changes?  I believe they create issues to make money.   Accounting rules have not changed.  What are you upgrading?  The 1995 version was much easier, dependable and faster.  I cannot believe the chaotic mess that they are pedaling.  Maybe they should sell to Apple or Facebook and get a facelift and ease of use.  Just because accounting is boring doesn't mean that the software has to match....

Hey Quickbooks... enough with the features.  Get the basics correct, quick and fun.  By the way, I am tired of you bleeding my small company.  You have the brand name BUT...you do not have brand loyalty anymore. If someone comes along with the fixes I have talked about... watch out for mass exodus!

"Quickbooks is easy" per the sales person.  Now I need to watch days of online training, that >>>>>>.  It takes hours to get thru to customer service.  I have a business to run and I am not a book keeping service or techie.  Customer paid me on site, but there is not way to show they paid without hours of online videos or waiting on the phone.  Maybe I could go to FAQ and find the answer except if I do not word the question correctly then that will not work.  I AM STUCK IT IS THE WEEKEND WHEN I DO MY BOOK AND >>>>> OUT OF LUCK. Be truthful, quickbooks is not for "non-book keepers + techies".  I do not abandon my customers after the sale.

I sent an invoice to a customer.  the customer paid with a credit card thru my credit card processor.  I do not keep customer credit card info for security reasons.  Having trouble showing the invoice was paid.  Quickbooks wants the card info, without it cannot show the invoice paid.

I've got a way you on how you can mark the invoice as paid, Inspector1.

 

You can record a payment for the invoice manually to mark the customer's invoice as paid. Make sure to uncheck the box for the Process credit card. I'll guide you how:

 

  1. Click the +New button. 
  2. Choose Receive payment
  3. On the Receive payment page, select the name of the customer.
  4. Select Credit Card as Payment Method.
  5. Fill out the rest of the fields.
  6. Click Save and close.

There is nothing Intuit can say that makes their support justified.  Absolutely useless, chat, phone service and everything else. No respect for their clients time. Today, 4 hours to get help switching services to a new computer and still no help...waiting on that ever elusive call back.  Seven, yes 7, people I have talked to and am sill having issues. This is not the first time...every time you need support you have to spend hours to get anywhere.

yes!  with all my heart!  i can't get ssigned in to bill my customers!  I have tried FOR TWO DAYS TO GET A LIVE PERSON!!!  I even called their home office!  Same deal

i made a charitable donation weekly. it shows he donation as a personal expense.  cannot find a way to change it.

To edit or recategorize your transactions, you can go to the Transactions page, then locate the data that you want to recategorize. Select the ▼ icon to expand the transaction. 

 

Then, select the link in the Type or Category column to change the category or select a new category. Click Save when you're done.

Concerning the web connect @rstevenbailey, did you receive an error message when trying to import it in QuickBooks Self-Employed? Any additional information will help me better in resolving your concerns.

I recently (2weeks ago) started working with QBO. The sales team does an amazing job at what they do. I wish QB will use the same amount of training on their support side.  Sadly that isn't the case. I have QBO advance which is supposed to provide me with access to faster support, every since time I have called in to get help. it has take over an hour to solve any of my issues except for one time, when I was asking if there is a link to get to the courses page since it was no longer showing up where I knew I could connect to the courses. Well 30 minutes later after being told that they did know what the link was they finally provided me with the link. I think that example shows the lack of knowledge reps have. If you cannot help me with a simple link to the QB courses I am in a world of trouble!!! 

Does anyone have any other suggestion for other programs that have better support and do not have all the issues QB has?

I am thinking about shutting my business down and just spend all my time working on the problems I have with QB.  I work one problem out then there is another.  I know enough about accounting that all the hidden tech stuff is not needed.  When I have a problem, just post and see what happens.  If I ran my business like that, it would be closed tomorrow.  "Hi, you just bought quick books, now take several day from your business to learn QB, then post about the problem we did not tell you about."  What a way run a company.  I will be looking for an alternative today.  The problems keep coming up and they get more complicated each time.  I have a bank account, income, and expenses, how difficult is that?

I VERY MUCH HATE QB - I feel like they are all about the money at every turn. There is nothing enjoyable about the program any more. WHY WHY WHY is it so difficult to convert from from online program to desktop???? I've read hundreds of testimonies of others that agree - they don't want you to convert to desktop. It's less control and less money for QB. Everything is about money, power, control. I'm sick of it.

I do you can’t even get a hold of a human any more and when you do thy are no help at all i have been trying to login to my new company that i set up being I screwed up the email my falt all i need is someone to help to help me i fill out there form and i get declined i set on hold only to get some who said he can fix it but his computer is running slow and he would call me back no joy no fix i guess i will be going to find a new company and say so long to quickbooks and take my other companys with me

I could not run my payroll yesterday because the payroll date will not install. I won’t go into how impossible it is to get help. Seriously, I’m paying for enhanced payroll and QB does not have tech support for payroll function. Am I supposed to find an ‘expert’? I also recently learned that quickbooks desktop only uses Microsoft Explorer which is no longer supported by Microsoft, I was just getting ready to start doing my payroll a different way where I upload a payroll file directly from QuickBooks to my bank but now I learned that my bank will not allow anything that uses Explorer. So can’t implement that ability and could not run payroll because the updates won’t install and spent over 6 hours trying to find help. This company is entrusted with so much personal information and they are so utterly careless with their customers that it very much concern me their willingness to protect data. I also learned the hard way they also can not control their licenses. Think about that for a minute. Ridiculous. Intuit is about paying their shareholders and everyone else can screw. I eagerly await any competition where I can run payroll and send bills.... would pay 4x more to not have to be screwed over in a regular basis.

Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks file.
  2. Go to the Help menu, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter a brief description of your issue, then click Let's talk and then choose a way to connect with us.
