Hi there, @mmooringngo.
Thank you for posting in the Community. I'd be happy to help share some information about importing a receipt into QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Currently, you can only import list data into QBO. In the meantime, you might want to try turning your phone’s camera into an instant receipt scanner using the QuickBooks app.
Just download the Receipt Scanner in the App Store or Google Play. After that, simply snap a photo of a receipt and QuickBooks will attach it to the expense in your books. Also, the scanned receipt is saved as a digital file for documentation at tax time.
For more details, I recommend checking this article: Receipt scanner.
There are also third-party applications in the App Center that offer similar scanning services or importing receipt into QBO. You can go to Apps.intuit.com or on your QuickBooks Online homepage.
Here's how to check:
- On the left pane, select Apps.
- Under the Find Apps tab, enter a keyword in the search box.
- Check out the details of the apps.
Another way is to add them as attachments.
Here's how:
- At the top right, click the Gear icon
- Select Attachments.
- Click Attachments at the upper left corner of the screen.
- Browse and select the document you want to attach.
- Select Open.
For more details about this process, you can check this article: Attachments in QuickBooks Online.
If you need additional help, our phone support agents will be able to assist you in getting this resolved.
Keep me posted if you have any other questions about importing receipts. I'll be happy to help you out. Thanks for coming to the Community and have a great day.
