Bank Accounts are not updating

About a month ago I got a message in QB online alerting me that I had to reconnect my chase bank accounts and credit credit card accounts - I followed the directions. Disconnected the accounts and then re-connected them. Worked fine. However, since then I have not been able to update ANY of my accounts. It has been 26 days. Disconnecting the accounts in no longer an option in "Edit Account". If I attempt to reconnect the accounts I receive an alert letting me know that the accounts are already connected. I called QB support and they were not able to help. Their advice: manually import the banking data. 1. I do not want to always have to do this and 2. frequently a manual import will import double. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Bank Accounts are not updating

Thank you for posting here in the Community, sarahburke.


As of now, we have an ongoing issue with Chase bank accounts and credit card accounts not updating downloaded transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Our Online Banking Team is now working with your bank to resolve this issue for you.


For now, I suggest to manually update your bank account to check for the transactions. To manually update your bank account:


  1. Go to Banking at the left pane.
  2. Select Banking.
  3. Click Update in the Banking page. QuickBooks Online updates all of your connected bank and credit card accounts.
  4. If you only want to update some accounts, select the unwanted ones to exclude them from the update and select Update now.
  5. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials and select Continue update.

Also, please get in touch with QuickBooks Support so you'll be added as one of the affected users. Once added, you'll automatically receive an email notification regarding the update.
