One of my credit cards is not connecting anymore even though the username and password I use is correct. I think it's because the credit card company is now requiring the user's birthday to be listed every time I sign in online. Any thoughts? Do I need to call the credit card company or can this be fixed through QuickBooks?
Try disconnecting the credit card account, then logging into the credit card account online, then adding the account again in QBO. If this does not work, then yes, call the credit card company to find out what is blocking the QBO connection to this account.
I believe it's already disconnected since it's not updating and the message I get is to try updating the log in info and then I'll be reconnected. I tried signing into the CC online and then updating the log in info. through QB, but it didn't work. So, if I need to call the CC company, any idea how I can explain it to them? I wonder if they have QB specialists.
There is a difference between a previously connected account losing its bank feed connection and actually "disconnecting" the account. Hit the "Edit Account Info" button for the CC account, and in the bottom right hand corner, select "Disconnect This Account on Save", then save and close. Then login to your CC account online, and "re-add" this CC account. This usually works.
If it does not work, then tell the credit card company that your 3rd party application (QBO) can no longer connect to your credit card account. They will identify any changes that occurred on their end and help you to solve the connection issue.
