QBO primarily uses the transaction date and amount when looking for a match, schmidtfs.
Most of the times, QBO can't find or automatically match if the transaction is posted in a different bank account, has a different amount, or is already cleared in your register.
However, you mentioned that you can see the transaction when manually clicking the Find Match button. In this case, a possible browser issue might have been causing the program to not automatically find a match. Let me share some steps that can resolve common browser issues in QBO.
First, access your QBO account in a private or incognito window. You can also use other browsers if you have a different option on your computer. Use these keyboard shortcuts on how to start an incognito browsing session:
- Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome
- Ctrl + Shift + P for Firefox
- Control + Option +P if you're using Safari
- Ctrl + Shift + P for Microsoft Edge
Second, log back in and check if they are automatically matched. If they are, follow the steps in this article to delete your browsing history: Clear Cache And Cookies To Fix Issues When Using QuickBooks.
