Hello there, @disgruntled,

Let's get rid of the old transactions that were re-downloaded by deleting them from your banking feeds.

Here's how:

  1. From all menus, select Banking.
  2. Choose Bank Feeds, then Bank Feeds Centerbankfeeds1.PNG
  3. Select the desired bank account you're working with.
  4. Click Transaction Listbankfeeds2.PNG
  5. Put a check mark on the boxes to select the transactions you want to delete.
  6. Click the Batch Actions arrow-down, then select Ignorebankfeeds3.PNG

The transactions showing on your page depends on what QuickBooks have fetched from your online banking account. I recommend reaching out to your bank so you can ask them to see if there's a way not to include older transactions to avoid duplicates.

For more details about deleting duplicates in QuickBooks Desktop, you can read through this article: Remove duplicate transactions.

If you need to match your bank transactions, feel free to open this link: Add and match Bank Feed transactions.

Please let me know how this goes by leaving a comment below. I'll keep in touch whenever you have additional questions.

My Quickbooks Desktop version was a little different, but after manually adding and matching the current transactions that were valid I was able to hit the Delete button which removed all the downloaded transactions at once.  Thanks!

Why don't both the class and job carry over to the GL

Hi jencheco,

If you have added the transaction from the banking page and added the class and job, the columns are unavailable in the register. Instead, you can run a QuickReport and customize it by following these steps:

  1. Go to Company located at the top.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Double-click the bank account where you have added the transactions.
  4. Select the transaction.
  5. Click the QuickReport button located at the top.
  6. In the Register QuickReport page, select the Customize Report button.
  7. In the Modify Report window, click the Display button.
  8. Search and select the Class, Name, Source Name columns in the COLUMNS field. Note: We are unable to verify if the name is to the customer/job, but you can click the Filters tab and filter it by the customer/job.
  9. Click OK once done.

I'm adding these sample screenshots for a visual guide:

If you're referring to something else, please reach out to me and I'll get back to you the soonest. Thanks.

No, that is not what I'm referring to.  I mean from the Bank Feed Center I am downloading the transactions.  I am going into each transaction selecting to put more information in before adding them to quickbooks.  I put in a job and i put in a class.  If i select to add more information the job will post into quickbooks but not the class.  It's not a matter of seeing the job and class when i run a quick report.  They both do not post into quickbooks with the transaction.

Thanks for coming back to the Community, @jencheco.

Currently, we have an ongoing issue about adding more details in the transaction list frame. Our product engineers already reviewed the investigation and now working on it. The case code is INV-32924, where customers are unable to see the class and jobs when they were adding these details in the Transaction List and run the GL report.

Please contact our Customer Care Technical Support. There they have the tools to pull up your account and attach it to the investigation case. Once the issue is fixed, notifications will be pushed via email.

Here's how to reach support:

  1. Select Help and then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Select Contact Us.

You can also use this article to get help from our desktop supports: Contact Support.

Please tell me how's your experience in reaching our customer support. I'm always here to help. More power to your business!

Let's check to see why you're only getting a busy indicator, naveed123.

A busy scenario could be an issue on your bank's server or in your company file. I'll be sharing an article with steps to resolve issues on bank feeds. Please check this out: Fix OL and OLSU Bank Feed errors in QuickBooks Desktop.

Please let me know how the steps work for you. You can also check about adding, matching, and reviewing bank transactions.
