Bank (first Citizens) recently changed website link to retrieve linked bank accounts. I cannot figure out how to change the bank website link?

Good day, hunterspointespo. I'm here to help!

We can change and update the bank's website through disconnecting the account within QuickBooks Online first. But, there are things that we need to keep in mind before breaking the connection of the account. All transactions that were set in the For review tab will be deleted as well so let's ensure to categorize or match them before doing the process.

You can refer to this link and reach out to your account to guide you further with this. Then, below are the steps in disconnecting the account:

  1. Go to Banking on the left pane and select Banking at the top.
  2. Choose the account you want to change and then click Edit (pencil icon).
  3. Click Edit account info.
  4. In the Account window, check the box next to Disconnect this account on save.
  5. Hit Save and Close.

Then, log in to your bank's website to copy and then paste the URL in the Connect and account page. Once done, follow the on-screen instructions until you'll successfully connect your bank account to QuickBooks. This way, we'll be able to reconnect the bank to the existing account to record transactions to the same register. You can use this article as reference in connecting account in QBO: Connecting bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

Please give me an update on how things work for you. I would like to make sure that you're all set in changing your bank's website. Take care!
