"Bank of America - New" Not Listed in Bank Feed Setup

I have been trying to set up a bank feed connection with "Bank of America - New" as per the instructions I received from QuickBooks, since "Bank of America - All Other States" is no longer supported. However, when I click "Add Account" and search for "Bank of America," there is no "Bank of America - New" in the bank list.

I see:

"Bank of America"

"Bank of America - CashPro"

"Bank of America - All Other States"

I tried the one just labeled "Bank of America" but when I click on it, it gives me instructions on how to manually import transactions. I've tried searching the word "new" and I've tried searching "Bank of America - New" and I come up empty.

Anyone have any idea what the issue is? As of right now I don't have access to any of my BofA bank feeds at all, which is gonna be a real problem soon.

Thanks!!

"Bank of America - New" Not Listed in Bank Feed Setup

Hello, tkatke.

It looks like the financial list isn't updated yet, which is why you're unable to see the Bank of America - New option. I'll share a couple of solutions to help you fix the missing option for the feeds.

We'll want to ensure that QuickBooks Desktop is updated to the latest release. Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to Help, then select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Click Update Now, then proceed with Get Updates.
  3. When the update finishes, close and reopen QuickBooks.
  4. Click Yes on the prompt.
  5. Restart your computer.

If you're unable to get the updated list, we can manually update the Financial Institutions Directory file. We can follow Solution 2 from this article: Update the Financial Institutions Directory in QuickBooks Desktop

After successfully getting the new option for Bank of America and connecting it with QuickBooks, we can start downloading your transactions and categorizing them

Do you need help reconciling your accounts in the near future? I'll include this article in case you need a guide or two: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Desktop
