Hello -
I'm reconciling my bank account and while doing so i came upon a missing check.
I search by check # and nothing comes up. I went and searched by name and nothing in that history.
So i go to the audit trail and there it is but if you click it, it just opens up to another check #.
So now my question is how do i know if this check really exists in my account?
I just upgraded to QB 2020, and now i'm starting to worry there may be other stuff missing that i haven't come across to yet....
I have already verified the file with no errors, and if i rebuild data would that help my situation?
Thanks

Hi DGoodwin,
It's possible that the check number was renamed or changed that's why it's giving you another check number. However, you'll be able to verify if the chek is missing if you're unable to find it in your check register.
You'll want to recreate the same check number. Another way is to rename the check number found in your Audit trail. Once done you can try reconciling again.
You'll want to run a previous reconciliation report in QuickBooks Desktop to help fix your current reconciliation.
