Bank will not sync anymore...Webster Bank

I have had QBO for six months.  I had issues syncing when I first set it up but since then it has been working fine.

A few days ago it would not sync with Webster Bank.  It gave me error 108.  I can log into my bank online no problem.  No messages or announcements.  I also put QBO/Intuit into my pop-up blocker.  It still will not sync.  All of my other banks sync just fine

Error 108 means there's a message on your bank or financial institution's (FI) website that requires action from you.


These are the following messages:

  • New terms of service
  • An announcement about maintenance or other site changes
  • A new offer


To resolve this issue, you need to sign in to your bank or FI's website and either dismiss or act on all notifications.


Once all messages are acknowledged, you go back to your QuickBooks and run a manual update.


Here's how:

  1. From the left menu, select Banking.
  2. On the Banking page, select Update.
  3. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials and select Continue update.

Thank you for the reply.  The problem has been resolved but I can't explain why or how.  I had signed in to my bank's site several times.  There were no new messages or offers.  Went back to QBO, did a manual update, still no good.  The next day I signed in again and it updated just fine.

No rhyme or reason to it.
