Why did you mean that you bought a PC disc? Do you purchase the license of QuickBooks Desktop?

With the Quickbooks licensed PC disc, I cannot connect to my bank. It is not listed. When I worked on the trial inline version of Quickbooks, my bank is listed.

Hi there, @maj1.

Thank you for the feedback with connecting your bank to the QuickBooks Licensed disk. I'd be glad to assist you today.

Let's go ahead and be sure that your bank account has a connection to your QuickBooks account.

Here are the steps to set up your bank account:

  1. From the Banking menu, go to Banking, then Set up Bank Feeds.
  2. In the Enter your Bank’s name field, enter and select the name of your bank.
  3. Connect your bank:
    • Direct Connect: To set up an account, you need to apply for online services through your bank.
      • If you want to enroll, select the enrollment site link. When your bank approves your application, contact them for your login credentials.
      • If it’s enrolled already, select Continue. Then, follow these:
        1. Enter your Online Banking ID and Password.
        2. Select Connect. QuickBooks connects to the bank’s server.
        3. Select the bank account you want to connect to QuickBooks.
        4. Select Finish after the process completes.
    • Web Connect: If your bank offers Web Connect, follow the onscreen instructions on how to connect your account.Note: If you download transactions from your bank and import them to QuickBooks for the first time, then this sets up an account for Bank Feeds. The connection methods available depend on your bank.
  4. On the Link your Accounts page, select the Select existing or Create new ▼ drop-down. Then, find the QuickBooks account you want to link to your bank account. If you didn’t set up a bank account yet in your chart of accounts, select Create New Account.
  5. Select Connect, then Close.
  6. After you set up your account, you can now download transactions from your bank.

Once you have completed the steps above, your bank can now connect to the QuickBooks licensed disc.

Let me know if you have any more questions or concerns. Happy Friday to you!

I do have online services.

I can connect to my bank through Quickbooks online service.

If I use my licensed Quickbooks PC disc, under bank feeds, my bank is not listed. That is the problem.

Hello there, maj1,

It's possible that the bank is only available in QuickBooks Online. You'll want to download web connect files instead. Here's how:

  1. Click File menu.
  2. Select Utilities then Import and then Web Connect Files.
  3. Select the QBO file you saved, then select Open.
  4. When prompted to Select Bank Account, select:
    • Use an existing QuickBooks account
    • Create a new QuickBooks account
  5. Click Continue. A dialogue box will show that the data has been successfully read into QuickBooks. Select OK.
  6. Go to the Bank Feeds Center to review your transactions.

Check this article for future reference: Fix Web Connect import errors.
