BANKING - not syncing at all

I have an issue here, please help....(since it's almost end of the month).

I have 3 accounts under banking:  Fifth Third Bank - Checking, Fifth Third Bank - Credit Card, and PNC Bank - Checking.

My PNC bank transactions are syncing. 

But my Fifth Third bank both checking and credit card is not syncing and uploading the transaction since last week.

I did 2 things so far. 

  1.  I relogged in to my Fifth Third accounts by clicking on the pencil - then edit sign in information, and I reinput all of credentials by reentering login and password.
  2. I went to chart of accounts and edit, disconnect, save.  Then connect again.

I logged out, logged back in, then pressed UPDATE.  

But still no feed.

Can anyone help me?

I even cleared out my temp files and cleared cache.

I appreciate all your efforts in trying to resolve the syncing issues for all accounts. Let’s try performing another troubleshooting to fix the issue.

You can start by logging in to your bank’s website. From there, check if there's an alert that needs attention. If yes, make sure to respond to it to get the connection working again.

However, if you encounter any errors, this guide contains articles to help resolve online banking problems. Proceed directly to Step 3 to access the links: What to do if you see a bank error or bank transactions won’t download.

If none of these suggestions work, I recommend contacting our QBO Care Team. They have tools to help configure the connection of your accounts. Then, walk you through the steps on how to get them up and running.

Here’s how:


  1. Click on the Help icon at the top to open the QB Assistant window.
  2. From there, tap the Talk to a human menu and enter the issue/topic.
  3. Next, hit I still need a human button to display the QB Assistant pop-up.
  4. Click the Contact us link.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
  6. Select Message an agent for real-time assistance or Get a callback.

In the meantime, use the WebConnect feature to download your bank entries and import them into QBO. You can follow the steps in this article: How to upload more than 90 days of bank transactions.

And two reps that I spoke to have not resolved my issue.

Since you were unable to get this issue resolve when syncing with Fifth Third Bank transactions to QuickBooks, I'd recommend contacting your bank to verify any news. It could be that the bank is having a system maintenance update on their end.


If there's no issue with your bank, I encourage you to reach our Care Support Team to investigate this further. There they have tools and create a case for this issue and submit it to our product engineers to work and fix it thoroughly.
