Banking transactions and payees

I'm new to QB.  When i'm in the banking transaction list, i enter the details for a particular line item, such as vendor or customer, it changes all the payees to the most recent one entered.  How do i get it to stop?

Banking transactions and payees

Hello there, SBene. Thank you for choosing QuickBooks Online.

As long as each transaction is assigned to one payee, it'll not auto-fill with the last name you recently saved in QuickBooks.

For some reason, software like QuickBooks will not be responding properly. The common reason why it happened is caused of having too much cache in our browser. We can do some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue throughout the process.

Refresh your browser by clicking the Reload icon or pressing F5 on your keyboard. If the same thing happens, log in to your account through an incognito window. This mode doesn't store cache, that's why we recommend using it.

Once logged in, go back to the Banking page and check the transactions. If it works fine, go back to your main browser and clear the cache. It helps remove any browser-related issues and refresh your browser's settings.

Aside from that, you can use other compatible browsers in QuickBooks Online

I've added some articles below to learn more about categorizing transactions and the reconciliation workflow in QBO:
