A browser-related issue might have caused the buttons not to work well, ben69.

Every time you frequently visit a site such as QuickBooks internet cache files are stored. The files help you retrieve informayion from s site easily. However, when they're piled up and not removed regularly it can cause an unexpected behavior.

We can verify that by logging in to QuickBooks using a private browser. You can use these keyboard shortcuts on how to open one:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

Then, try to unmatch the transaction. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu and select Banking.
  2. Click the bank and select the Reviewed or Categorized tab.
  3. Look for the transactions that were matched and click Undo under the ACTION column.

If you're able to successfully undo the match, we can switch back to the main browser and clear the cache. Other browsers can also help you get rid of unusual behavior.

Nope. Not a browser cache issue. I'm able to replicate the issue on multiple devices and browsers and even multiple QuickBooks Online companies.

I'm here to route you to the right support to help resolve this issue, so you'll get back on track, @ben69

I appreciate you for performing the steps provided by my peer above and the other ways you've replicated on your end. Since these didn't work, I'd suggest contacting our Customer Support Team. They have the necessary tools to determine the root cause of this issue and help you fix it. This way, you'll be able to unmatch your banking transaction. You'll first have to review our support hours to ensure they can assist you on time. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Select Contact Us
  3. Enter Unmatching banking transaction doesn't work anymore although I've already performed troubleshooting steps on my end in the What can we help you with? box.
  4. Click Let's talk
  5. Choose a way to connect with a live agent.

Once resolved, the unmatched transaction will go back to the For Review tab. From there, you can edit, assign, categorize, and match it to the correct entry to ensure its accuracy. After that, I recommend reconciling the account in the program, so it matches your bank statement.

Please know that I'm here anytime you need anything else. Keep safe always, @ben69

Solutions provided by the useless assistant AI bot do not work.  This is a bug.
