Yes, you are capable of doing so. You can create a new account and make sure it has the correct currency, as suggested by my colleague above. Then manually enter the transactions.
After that, you can remove the existing bank account's transactions. If you have a large number of transactions to record, this may take some time, but we guarantee it will work.

Currency settings can't be changed on an already existing account, however you can set them up appropriately when creating new accounts.

You'll also want to be aware that the only category types which can use multicurrency are bank, credit card, and receivable/payable accounts.

In order to assure the account is accurate at this point, can I set up the new account as you suggested and then enter all transactions made to date manually and then delete the previous one now in existence? (I am a true noob on QB currently taking a course) I appreciate your help!
