I suspect this is because my Kabbage account has Multi-factor authentication turned on. Per Kabbage, "Multi-factor authentication helps us verify your identity, and gives your account an extra layer of security. We will text a code to xxx-xxx-xxxx each time you log in." I suspect I may have to ask Kabbage to *deactivate* this feature in order to connect to QBO.

When you connect your bank account, your financial institution may require additional security to help protect your data. There are certain types of authentication procedures that QuickBooks Online is unable to support.
To ensure that you'll be able to seamlessly link your account, I recommend coordinating with Kabbage. They can temporarily disable this feature for you or find another way to verify your account.

Utilize the trial version of MT Online to isolate the issue. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed. If the same error persists, there is an ongoing problem at your bank.

I called Kabbage. The checking account product is new and does not yet support 3rd party authentication. It sounds like their IT team is working on it. It maybe ready in early 2022. Until then, I plan to upload the xls file to document purchases using my new bank account. Annoying, but not impossible.
