I'd be happy to help you import your data from your QuickBooks Desktop Company file.
You'll need to save the file in your Local Drive from the flash drive. Choose a location that is easier for you to access like the Desktop. Then, download a trial version of QuickBooks Desktop. Once done, you can follow the steps below:
- Open QuickBooks Desktop.
- Open the saved file in your local drive.
- Select the Help menu, then click Update QuickBooks.
- Choose Update Now and click Get Updates.
- Ensure you are using the Single-User Mode. You can change it in the File menu and click Switch to Single-User Mode.
- Restart QuickBooks Desktop.
- If you have payroll, run it now.
After that, export the data to QuickBooks Online through QuickBooks Desktop. here's how:
- Restore the backup copy.
- Click the Company menu.
- Choose Export Company File to QuickBooks Online.
- Follow the prompts so you can connect to the Online version.
