can't connect to my bank account

Hi, me I bank with First Merchants, but for some reason I can't connect to it through Quickbooks self-employed.  I'm uusing the ssame login information aas I do when I log in she she my bank's website, but it won't connect through quickbooks.

Are you getting an error message or just won't let you connect? Also are you using the personal login page or the business? I use First Merchants also and have no issues connecting.

I believe it's error 103 but dont quote me on that.  Yes I'm using my business login

Error 103 occurs when the login credentials entered in QuickBooks are not being accepted by your financial institution’s website. Until the sign in information is updated, the program will stop your login request so that the bank does not lock your account access.

 

To fix the issue, here’s what you need to do:
1.    Click the Reconnect button that displays within the error message. Make sure to physically type the username and password.
2.    Click the Update Sign-in Info.

Hi, thanks for trying to help out with this.  I have tried a ffew different browsers and I'm not seeing the Reconnect okkoor the update sign-in info

Since the Reconnect button is not showing in the error message you received. Let’s verify the bank connection by searching the bank’s login webpage URL or the URL after you log into your bank account. Try all the possible results.

 

You may also try searching for the bank by using the URL, however, you may have to remove a string of digits to search. For example, the URL may be https://www.netteller.com/loginabc/Views/Retail/AccountListing.aspx, which will have zero results when searched.

 

Remove the extension of the URL to the slash (/) and try researching. You may have to remove a few extensions until the search has a match. In this example, the URL https://www.netteller.com/ would have multiple results when searched.

 

If this fails to eliminate Error 103, I’d recommend getting in touch with our Email Support Team. To do so, go to https://community.intuit.com/quickbooks-self-employed#/help and click Contact us.

 

Provide them the following information:

  • Name of your financial institution.
  • Which bank name is being selected during account set-up.
  • The website you use to connect your bank and the URL once you have successfully signed in to your bank account.
  • Which account type you’re connecting to: business, personal, cash management, etc.
  • Which error code you’re seeing.

I eemailed them the information yesterday but haven't heard back.

I finally figured it out.  Tthere was more than one First Merchants choice you can choose from .
