Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, @stuartbuys.
Having your transactions to be sorted in proper order is a great way to easily see current data.
To help you with this, you can sort the date of transactions by clicking on the Date option. Let me guide you how:
- Go to the Accounting menu.
- Look for your account and select View Register.
- From the Bank Register page, click the Date option to put the correct date on top.
You can also use the Funnel option to filter the dates. Here's how:
- Select the Funnel icon.
- Choose Check on the Transaction Type field.
- Click Date and select All Dates or Custom.
- Then, click Apply.
For your reference, see this article: Find, review, and edit transactions in account registers.
In case you need to add a transaction directly to your check register, you can open this article for a detailed guide: Manually add transactions to account registers in QuickBooks Online. From there, you can create sales forms or expense transactions.
