Re: Can you delete a posting that came from the bank into QuickBooks?

Hi @info84,

Welcome to the Community. I'd be happy to assist you with deleting a posting that came from the Banking tab.

A transaction that was downloaded from your bank can be deleted with just a few clicks. Here's how:

  1. Select Banking on the left navigation menu and click the For Review tab.
  2. Place a check-mark in the box next to the transaction that you'd like to remove.
  3. Select the Batch actions drop-down and choose Exclude selected.
  4. Click the Excluded tab and place a check-mark in the box next to the transaction.
  5. Select the Batch actions drop-down and select Delete.
  6. Click Yes when prompted if you wish to delete it.

I've included a brief video to serve as an example:

If the transaction has already been accepted into your register, here's how you can return it to For Review:

  1. Click Banking on the left navigation menu and choose the In QuickBooks tab.
  2. Select the Undo option under the Action column for the transaction.

For additional information on this, such as how to restore excluded transactions, I recommend the following article: How to Exclude Expenses from Downloaded Bank Transactions.

That'll do it. I'm confident this information will have you on the path towards a resolution.

Please let me know if you have questions or need anything. Hoping this response finds you with a smile.
