Cannot disconnect banking accounts

When attempting to enter deposits from our bank feed to QB, it will not let me and gives error message "cannot acquire the feature lock".  Same error when matching deposits, but only on certain ones...others worked as usual.

I can help you get a fix for the error message you encounter when adding and matching banking transactions in QuickBooks. 


Let’s perform some basic troubleshooting to resolve the problem. First, make sure you’re in a single-user mode and logged in to the company file as the Administrator. 


Then, you need to switch your banking mode. Here’s how:
1.    Update QuickBooks to the latest release.
2.    Go to Edit menu and select Preferences.  
3.    Choose Checking, then Company Preferences tab.
4.    In the Bank Feeds section, select Classic Mode.
5.    Hit OK

 

 


Once done, go to Banking, then select Bank Feeds Center and click the X button. After which, return to the banking settings and switch it back to Express Mode. For more information, check out this article: Switch between banking modes.


You should now be able to add and match transactions in QuickBooks.
