Cash flow and Bank deposit with month column

I'd like to have cash flow forecast with bank deposit and the forecast has month column. The reason for it is that we'd like to know when we should send money to our branch to avoid short of cash.

The cash flow forecast doesn't show income so that we can't see how our branch will have income and bank deposit in next fiscal year.

The  Profit & Loss Budget vs Actual doesn't show bank deposit.

If there is good way to see cash flow including bank deposit, please let me know.

Good to hear from you, system.

The option to add a Month column in the Cash Flow Forecast report is unavailable. However, you can customize the reporting period to Month option and filter the Transaction Type to Deposit.

Here's how:

  1. In the Cash Flow Forecast report, click the Customize Report tab.
  2. Choose Month in the Reporting Periods drop-down. You can also manually change the Report Date Range to Next Month option.
  3. Click Filters.
  4. Choose Transaction Type in the Choose Filter field.
  5. Click the Transaction Type drop-down and choose Deposit.
  6. Click OK.

To see the details of the transaction, you can run the Cash Flow Forecast QuickZoom report.

Then, you can add a column for Deposit and Date.

Here's how:

  1. In the Cash flow Forecast report, double click the amount in the Bank Accnts column.
  2. Click Customize Report.
  3. Under Columns, enter Type and place a checkmark for it.
  4. Under Columns, type Date. Then, choose Date or other date period showing in the list.
  5. Click OK.

IntuitRC, thank you for your reply and this is very helpful. But although the report shows the BankAccnts in Beginning Balance, the report doesn't show BankAccnts on next month (The filter of "deposit" is off). Could you tell me why it happens?

Or Is it possible to show BankAccnts on the report of Plofit & Loss Budget vs Actual, which has column of month and row of account?

Thanks for replying, system.

Since there's no column for Deposit, the amount will show in the Bank Accnts column is zero when running the report. You can double-click the amount to route you to the Cash Flow Forecast QuickZoom report to see the deposit transactions created for the Next Month period.

On the other hand, the option to customize the Profit & Loss Budget vs. Actual report to show the Bank Accnts column is unavailable. However, you can filter the report to Accounts option and choose the bank accounts you need.

Here's how:

    1. In the Profit & Loss Budget vs. Actual report, click Customize Report.
    2. Choose Filters.
    3. Under Choose Filter field, enter Account.
    4. Under Account, choose Multiple accounts. Then, place a checkmark to all bank accounts you need in the report.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Click OK.

Feel free to reply to this thread if you need anything else in the report. I'm here to help.
