Changing Passwords for American Express for downloaded transaction--DESKTOP

I am using QB 2019 desktop FOR A MAC.

I recently changed the password for American Express. How do I change it in QB desktop 2019 for a Mac? When I go to downloaded transactions, the change password is greyed out as shown below. I do not see anywhere else to change or update passwords for credit cards.

Hello there, hookemfins.

I'm here to help in changing passwords for your connected bank account in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

Once you change your online banking password to the bank's website, you need to delete the previously saved password and re-launch Online Banking on your Desktop account.

To update your password for QuickBooks Online Banking, here's how:

  1. On your desktop account, double-click the Macintosh HD icon.
  2. Go to Application
  3. Select Utilities.
  4. Choose Keychain Access.
  5. Search for your Online Banking password, then select Delete.
  6. Close then reopen your company file.
  7. Go to Download transaction.
  8. Select Download all.
  9. When given the option to enter your password, type your current passwordQuickBooks will connect to your bank and download transactions.

For more details, see this article: Error: Username or password is invalid when connecting to Online Banking in QuickBooks.

Once your bank transactions are downloaded, you can now start categorizing or matching them to straighten out your books. After that, you have the option to do your regular bank reconciliation

If you have any other questions, please let me know by leaving any comments below. I'll be here to lend a hand. Stay safe and well!
