Chart of Accounts glitch for my Bank account

I have had this issue since late September and have in fact paid for technical support to fix it. After 3 calls and 3 promises to receive an additional call back, I am still having the problem. I have also given feedback within the program.

In chart of accounts, my bank account numbers and routing numbers randomly get replaced with either a blank box or a string of letters and numbers. This happens each time I use my Quickbooks 2019 desktop and sometimes more than once in a session. I have to go in and put the correct information in to the accounts and then Quickbooks automatically has to do a restart. Sometimes the problem comes right back after I've done that.

I am beyond frustrated right now and do not know where to turn since no one at Intuit has followed through or fixed the problem when they have had the chance. Has anyone else had this problem and could advise me? I would be very appreciative.

Chart of Accounts glitch for my Bank account

Hi there, @PattyV.

I'm here to help you fix this issue. Since you have been experiencing this since September, I'd like to know if you've performed the troubleshooting methods to check if this is a data-related issue? Or if there's an error you've encountered?

If there isn't any error, I'd suggest updating the QuickBooks Desktop to make sure that the program has the latest data. Before that, you may consider creating a backup file to prevent data loss.

Once done, backing up your file, here's how to update the QuickBooks Desktop program:

  1. Go to the Help menu and choose Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Select the Update now tab then, click Get Updates.
  3. To finish the update, restart the QBDT program.

I've included some screenshots for your reference.

If you're still having the same issue after updating, you can check out this article: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop. This contains detailed steps on how to troubleshoot any data-related issues.

Please know that you can always tag my name in the comment section if you have other questions. I'm here to assist you further. Take care.
