Get 50% OFF QuickBooks for 3 months*
Buy nowI have two different companies each with its own checking account at Bank of America. However, I only have one login at BofA for both accounts. I previously was able to connect each of my QBO accounts to that BofA login and then choose the checking account I wanted to connect. Now however when one is connected, the other disconnects. How can I connect both at the same time?
I am also having the exact same issue with American Express. This began for both of them over the past few months, though I have had this set up for over 8 years with no issue.
Thank you so much for any help!!
Hello there, Jennifer.
You'll want to review your login credentials, verify the link you used to connect in QuickBooks, and ensure you have selected the corrected checking account in QBO.
If you've verified that all information is correct but the issue persists, please reach out to your financial institution for any ongoing maintenance, updates, or notifications regarding the connection between QuickBooks Online (QBO) and your bank. They can also offer specific guidance to help you resolve this issue.
Feel free to reply to this post if you have any additional questions.
I can connect each account directly. That isn't an issue. The issue is that when I connect Business A checking account to Business A QBO, Business B checking account disconnects from Business B QBO. How can I stop this from happening? I need both Business A and B to stay connected to their checking and credit card accounts at the same time.
Thanks for following up with that additional info, Jennifer H.
To rule out any browser related issues, I recommend clearing the cache first. The cache is in place to collect frequently used data to make loading web pages quicker and easier. If it becomes too full it can potentially cause certain performance errors within the system. Clearing the cache will remove what's breaking the connection with your bank accounts. Here's how to get this done in Chrome for example:
The following article provides similar steps depending on which browser you're using: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.
Please give this a try and let me know how things look afterward. I'll be here if you have any other questions.
I have the same issue and clearing my cache did not solve the problem. Basically, I have multiple accounts with one bank spread over two QBO accounts. In particular, there is one credit card I used to keep track of in My Practice qbo books, but now I have a subscription for my personal books and I am trying to set up feed using the same bank login. What is that something that prevents me from achieving this?
