Ok so have been using desktop for years, when I had a credit card I set it up as a bank account as it was easy! Having now switched to online and actually working for someone I thought I would do it properly and set the credit card up as a credit card!
Did that, paid some bills out of it, all correct, went to reconcile it and the screen had no data on it. Is there a tutorial on setting up and paying a credit card? Or what am I doing wrong?

Hello manager-cwspring!
It's almost the same with the QuickBooks Desktop when you pay a bill using a credit card in QuickBooks Online. Let me show you.
When you go to the + New button and select Pay bills, you'll need to select a payment account. From there, you can select a credit card account. Also, make sure that the payment date is accurate so that it'll reflect when you reconcile it.
In addition, only the transactions that are created before the Ending date will appear on the reconciliation page. Make sure to enter the correct Ending date based on your bank statement.
You can find the detailed steps on how to reconcile in QuickBooks Online through this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
