Did import of csv file this morn and previously QB would exclude items already imported but with program update if you click items previously imported QB will duplicate

Why issues after programmers updates. Seems like always happens when QB updated

We understand the need to avoid duplicates, accounting476, especially when manually uploading products and services to maintain an accurate record. I'll ensure you can remove and prevent them from happening moving forward.

Existing products and services in QuickBooks Online (QBO) won’t be imported in the new update if they have identical names, even if selected. It will fail to save with an error saying "Something went wrong. Try again later." If there are any character differences, note that the system treats them as new items.

To mark duplicates as inactive, you can proceed to these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Products & services.
  2. Check the items that you want to make inactive.
  3. Click Make inactive at the top.

    Make an item inactive.png

  4. Hit Make inactive again to confirm.

For those already in QBO to be recognized and excluded, consider clearing your browser's cache before performing the importing process again. Once this data gets corrupted, it causes unexpected behavior and affects the software's functionality. If the issue persists, you'll want to use a different supported and updated browser.
