Join nowI have quite a few checks to deposit daily. How do I get the routing number and account number to print on my deposit ticket so that I do not have to re-write the checks to put on a bank-furnished deposit ticket. Can't I use the QB deposit ticket that prints at the top of the deposit summary?
Greetings, mconnertax
Good to see you here in the Community. I'm here to provide some insight regarding the QuickBooks Deposit Summary.
At this time, the QuickBooks deposit ticket doesn't include the account and routing number when printing. While we don't have this option, you'll need to manually enter these numbers on the deposit slip.
We take customer suggestion into consideration when looking for product improvements and ways to enhance QuickBooks. If it's a feature that's necessary for your business, I highly encourage you to send feedback directly to our Product Development Team:
Keep in touch if there's anything else I can do for you, in the meantime. I always have your back and am always happy to help. Have a great day!
Please lean from this input.
You don't need to print anything else on the Deposit Slip, if you are taking all of this to the Bank teller. The bottom of every check has the info encoded using magnetic ink; they run the checks through their check scanner. It's called MICR = magnetic ink character recognition.
